CB - Senior CAD Designer

MAJOR INTERESTS AND SKILLS
CAD design for the semiconductor industry, fab layout design, tool footprints and tool hookup design.  Tool installation design including process piping, exhaust, and electrical.  Facilities and tool install design for university and industrial cleanrooms and laboratories, including nanotech, biotech, FPD, and biosafety laboratories.

EXPERIENCE
12 years experience in electro-mechanical CAD design and facilities engineering project management. Responsible for architectural, electrical, instrumentation, process piping, and controls drawings.  Responsible for complex tool and equipment engineering design packages for installation.  Design work includes industrial engineering, electrical design, process piping, exhaust, and tracking project management.  Designer of fire protection systems for commercial buildings that include architectural and electrical schematic drawings for contractor construction documents. 

Responsibilities included writing project scope of work and leading review meetings, writing company CAD standards and guidelines.  Performed tool readiness assessments and audits to determine if cleanroom facility is ready for tool installation phase.

Recent projects include Sandia National Labs MESA, Motorola, Harvard University LISE, University of California Berkeley CITRIS Microfab, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories Molecular Foundry, Duke University CIEMAS, University of Michigan SSEL and Steve Forrest Labs, University of Louisville Belknap Research Center, ASU Flexible Display Center.

9 years experience at Motorola with major emphasis on facilities engineering and tool installations.  Previous experience as a CAD designer with SRP mapping department involved with the Phoenix Electrical Conversion Project.
